Local terms in India

What is a virtual CFO?

Virtual CFO is the usual Indian name for a fractional CFO. That is a senior finance leader who works for you part of the week. Through us you hire a person, not a firm.

Is CTO as a service the same as a fractional CTO?

Close, but not quite. Indian dev shops often sell CTO as a service as a package from their own firm. A fractional CTO is a person who joins your leadership part of the week and reports to you.

What does interim CXO mean?

CXO is the Indian way of writing C-suite job titles. An interim CXO works full time for a set period, often to cover a gap or a change. You can send a requirement for an interim role too.

I am looking for a technical co-founder. Can a fractional CTO help?

Often, yes. You may need senior technical judgement now, more than a partner who takes equity. A fractional CTO can cover that until you hire full time or find a co-founder.
