What the core FDE posting asks for

  • Workers and Workers AI Lead architecture and design sessions for large customers on Cloudflare's developer and AI platforms.
  • Application security Design and set up application and network security, using Workers to direct global traffic.
  • Terraform Manage complex settings that rely heavily on infrastructure as code.
  • Slack-first Run fast technical discussions mainly through Slack, and stay with the account after migration.

How Cloudflare compares

Cloudflare's experience bar is high, closer to a principal solutions architect. The work is more about setting up and securing a platform than building new applications.

If you come from network security or edge infrastructure, this is one of the few FDE roles built around that background.
