Beyond Bangalore
Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai hire FDEs too
A forward deployed engineer is an engineer who works with a customer, inside their systems, until the product does its job there. In India the title covers very different work.
In Hyderabad, HighRadius posts several FDE roles that sit inside sales. HighRadius sells an agentic AI platform for the Office of the CFO. Its Expansion FDE role is quota-owning, and its Accounts Payable FDE role is quota-influencing.
Notion posts a hybrid FDE role in Hyderabad focused on data migrations for customers across APAC. Cursor bases one FDE role for India across Bengaluru, New Delhi and Mumbai.
In Delhi, Sarvam is building a sovereign AI platform for India. It hires on-site Strategic Deployment Engineers and calls them its forward-deployed technical assets. Handshake posts on-site FDE roles at entry and senior level for India.
