Defence and media
Costa Mesa defence, LA media
An FDE works where the customer is, not where the employer is. For Southern California's defence roles, that can mean remote regions far from any office.
Anduril says its Air Defense FDE role is based in Costa Mesa and not eligible for remote or hybrid work. It asks for travel to remote regions for long stretches, for much of the year.
In Los Angeles, Databricks lists a media, entertainment and gaming FDE role. Commure and Cohere list LA among the cities for their remote FDE roles.
Tell us the role and the hours. We send you a shortlist of people who fit.

- Media and gaming Databricks has a dedicated LA FDE role for communications, media, entertainment and gaming customers.
LA teams can get FDE help without a relocation
The engineer you hire can work remotely by default, with time on site agreed when it helps. Shared working hours matter more than a shared city.
Hiring a forward deployed engineer for a Los Angeles team
Most of the LA-area FDE postings we read are defence or media roles. If your work is neither, say what it is in your requirement. We read every requirement ourselves and ask if something is unclear.
We then look through the senior people who have applied to us, and our own contacts. You get a shortlist with CVs and a short note on each. You choose.
